Using 2 to 3 layers of gold acrylic paint on the inside, and then 2 to 3 layers of a high gloss varnish on the inside, leaves the surface with a beautiful shine. Vanessa chose to leave the clay's matte surface on the outside, unvarnished because she loved the contrast between the varnish and the matte finish.
